Power Supply Systems for Satellites
With over than 15 years of experience in the space industry, AEL Sistemas has been developing and producing electronic equipment for the subsystem of satellites power supply from INPE.
Project and development

• Design, development and manufacturing of Power Conditioning Unit (PCU) for the Brazilian Complete Space Mission (MECB);

• Design, development and manufacturing of 10 DC / DC Converters to INPE;

• Design, development and manufacture of eight DC / DC converters, shunt, BDR, BCHC and support equipment and test for INPE.

Main technical characteristics

• Redundant hot or cold (depending on the equipment)

• Automatic switching between the main and redundant or via remote control

• Status signals

• Power Equipment Shunt (power controller of the solar panel): 1344W

• Power Equipment BDR (battery power controller): 1820W

• BCHC - equipment responsible for the correct battery charge

• tolerant to any single fault

• Use of SMD components on a large scale

• Immune to cosmic radiation.

Installations, qualifications and manufacture

• Clean room Class 100,000;

• Trained and certified team for mounting of SMD components according to the norms of the European Space Agency (ESA);

• climate Cameras and shaker for environmental and mechanical tests.

AEL Sistemas participates of several programs for technology transfer with foreign companies, seeking partnerships that complement their training in design areas, development and production of employment space / defense equipment.
